Hey Ben nice to meet you! I thought your blog post was great, it was very clever and clearly explained the distinction between personal and professional identity by comparing digital identity to a coin with two sides (super creative!). I liked what you did with your digital visitors and residents map, especially with the icons as well it’s really organized and nice to look at. Your explanation of how self-directed learning motivated you a lot more when the subject matter aligned with your interests caught my eye. Could you elaborate on how you strike a balance between visibility and privacy in professional settings maybe like LinkedIn? Overall really great and engaging blog!

Hi Bailey, nice to meet you!
I really enjoyed reading your Blog 2 post, it was super organized and I found it really engaging. Your comparison of Snapchat and LinkedIn I completely agree with and its a great example of how important it is to keep personal and professional digital identities for the most part separated. Your digital map of residents and visitors caught my attention and was clearly described, i saw a lot of similarities with my map as well! I’d like to know more about how you’ve changed how you personally use TikTok or how might you switch platforms depending on the situation? I also appreciated how you involved some ideas of individualized learning into your psychology course! I would maybe recommend adding a little more information on any disadvantages or difficulties you’ve dealt with digital identity management or personalized learning. Overall, i loved reading your blog post it was very fun to read!!
Hi Kathryn! I really enjoyed your blog post, it was really organized and i love all the pictures you’ve provided. It’s awesome how you did your practicum in Sooke and also utilized Google Classroom and Canva when it came to teaching your students. A lot of people, including myself, can relate to your initial struggles with internet platforms. I also really respect how you stress the importance of keeping both a personal and professional digital identity! You’ve provided clear and useful advice on how to manage digital identity as well. Could you elaborate one how social media has enabled you to interact with educational; communities outside of your immediate network? Your mock teacher picture was awesome by the way, so fun! Overall, excellent work!
Hi Therese nice to meet you!! Your blog post is really insightful, well-structured and easy to understand! I liked the way you linked creating learning communities and digital communities with study circles and Reddit forums caught my attention for sure. I found it really relatable when you were talking about self directed learning and about using YouTube to learn about the phases of Alzheimer’s. Maybe something you could elaborate on is how one might handle digital distractions on such public platforms? Another thing i thought of is maybe to include a brief example of how each learning style may use social media in order to summarize the different learning style kinds. Your conclusion really brought everything together super well, and your illustrations and citations were great! You kept me really interested the whole time i was reading, great post:)
Hi Ella, I had a great time reading your blog post!
