Class Response #6

A concept i can think of is digital identity and how we present through the online environmental can influence one’s perceptions, personal and/or professional. Having an overall genuine presence is important.

I also view digital literacy as more than just using technology but rather the involvement of critically assessing content, comprehending different algorithms and simply realizing our obligations in digital environments.

Lastly, I will engage in special forums and online educational environments like Reddit as part of my PLN. Also, increasing my professional visibility, this will enable me to ask some questions, interact with people who think/question like me, and share knowledge.

Thanks for a great course I had so much fun learning!

This post was a super fun read and you provided lots of info! The way you integrated the value of inclusivity, moral online conduct and UDL values into a single, coherent story truly struck a chord for me. You emphasis on polite communication are careful info sharing truly raises the topic around online learning, also the section on privacy, ethics and civil discourse felt really relevant to me and meaningful. I couldn’t help but nod in agreement with how you analyzed how deliberate PLN design can break down echo chambers. I found that a really strong argument. The only question i can think of is how do you handle situations where digital environments seem overcrowded or overwhelming? Do you have any methods for remaining focused and grounded in your PLN. Your post was a great read and a great guide, thanks!

Hi there! I found this post to be really thought out, particularly your remarks on purposefully establishing inclusive PLNs. I thought it was really great that you demonstrated how you personally use the tactics instead of justly describing them, great work! I found the example of following Caden Teneycke to particularly noteworthy as I also follow him too! It was a fresh and sincere way to highlight the need of hearing from people who have different experiences than ourselves. I didn’t really realize that routinely looking for “who’s missing” in your network might drastically change your viewpoint. How do you choose whether authors or sources are worthwhile to follow over the long term? Overall this was a great post it was written very well and super thoughtful, thanks for the read!

Hi there! I really appreciate your organized and thoughtful post it was really interesting to read. I really liked how you linked TikTok and Instagram to your preferred method of learning, particularly in the examples you provided of UDL-aligned planning and techniques in the classroom. The illustrations that Shelly Moore conveyed how diversity fosters community and i really loved that reference. Could you please elaborate on how you asses the credibility of an account or source while using social media for professional development? That could maybe also help others move through their PLN more effectively. Your message shows how social media platforms may facilitate significant, introspective learning and your voice was really genuine and inclusive. Great work!
